The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles

Saturday. Dec 24. 2022

In December 2022, I had planned to visit MOCA - The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. MOCA has two locations: MOCA Grand Avenue and The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, both just a 10-minute car ride away from each other. However, due to temporary closures, I always ended up going to MOCA Grand Avenue, which is conveniently located across The Broad. But this time, I lucked out and was able to reserve tickets to both museums for the day.

Since Christmas was the next day, the museums changed their closing time to be earlier than normal. Even with this change, many people still decided to visit the museums to see the art. When I visited, I was very impressed with the different styles, subjects, and techniques that were displayed in both museums. “Henry Taylor: B Side” and “Tala Madani: Biscuits” were amazing exhibtions to see, so it was such a fun and memorable experience on Christmas Eve.
