The Getty Center

Saturday. October 21. 2023

The Getty Center, also known as the J. Paul Getty Museum is a great art museum, and I love going there regularly. It sits atop a hill, and visitors can hop on a tram at the lower station to get there. It's a bit like the feeling of catching the train at King’s Cross to head to Hogwarts School in Harry Potter - setting off on an exciting adventure to a magical destination. Each building of the Getty Center is filled with amazing collections, and there's a lovely garden too, making it a delightful place to visit. On October 21st, my friends and I had planned to spend the day at the Getty Center.

Exploring the stunning modern buildings and discovering the wonderful collections was an incredible experience. We spent about five hours at the museum, and surprisingly, we didn't feel tired at all. Taking a break to grab some snacks at the cafeteria and strolling through the beautiful garden with the feeling of cool autumn breeze really helped us savor everything the museum had to offer. Viewing the city of Los Angeles from the top of hill on a fine clear day made us feel so relaxed and refreshed.

A sweet evening with drinks from “La La Land Kind Cafe” and banana puddings from “Magnolia Bakery” at The Grove, in Los Angeles :)
