Steven and I planned an exciting trip to explore the East Coast this summer, starting with our first destination: Baltimore, Maryland. On a bright Wednesday morning, we kicked off our day with a visit to Johns Hopkins University. As we wandered around the picturesque campus, we were struck by the beautiful architecture and the peaceful atmosphere. Conveniently, the Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) was right next to the university, making it easy for us to continue our day by visiting the museum.

As soon as we stepped into the BMA, we were greeted by vibrant, eye-catching installations created by Raul de Nieves in the main lobby. These colorful works immediately set the tone for our journey through the museum. The BMA’s collection was vast and impressive, featuring a wide array of masterpieces including paintings, sculptures, drawings, and more. I found myself captivated by every piece, deeply moved by the creativity and talent of the artists. Each artwork seemed to tell a unique story, and I took the time to appreciate the thought and effort that went into each one.

It was a perfect start to our East Coast adventure, and I left with a newfound appreciation for both art and the city of Baltimore.
