On a sunny Saturday afternoon, Chelsea and I visited the Hilbert Museum of California Art, located in the Old Towne Orange area. The weather was perfect, with the warm sun shining down and a gentle breeze in the air. It felt like an ideal day to explore art and immerse ourselves in creativity. I had been to the museum about a year ago, and that experience left a lasting impression on me. The paintings, the atmosphere, and the museum’s focus on California’s artistic heritage made it a truly memorable visit. This time, I was excited to see what new exhibitions and collections were on display, hoping to discover even more inspiring artwork.
“City of Glass” by James Doolin
As we entered the south wing, we were immediately greeted by a breathtaking sight—a gigantic cityscape painting that covered a large portion of the wall. The vibrant colors and intricate details made it feel as though we were looking out at a real city, capturing the energy and beauty of urban life. The sheer size of the artwork was mesmerizing, and it set the perfect tone for our visit.

Walking through the museum, I was once again amazed by the incredible exhibitions and collections. Each artwork was unique, telling its own story through color, texture, and composition. Just like my last visit, the displays were beautifully curated, showcasing a wide range of artistic styles and themes. I found myself completely drawn into each piece, admiring the skill and creativity of the artists. Their ability to capture emotions, landscapes, and everyday moments in such a powerful way filled me with admiration. It was a truly inspiring experience, and I felt grateful for the opportunity to appreciate such remarkable works of art.
