After spending one day in New Jersey, Steven and I made our way to New York City. The following day, we began our adventure by visiting one of the city's most iconic landmarks, the New York Public Library. The library was a magnificent building with a grand, classical design. As we approached, we were greeted by the two famous stone lions, "Patience" and "Fortitude," standing guard at the entrance.
Once we stepped inside, we explored “The Polonsky Exhibition of The New York Public Library’s Treasures.” I was captivated by the extraordinary collection on display, which included rare and historically significant items such as centuries-old manuscripts, beautifully bound books, ancient maps, photographs from various eras, and even stunning pieces of artwork. The exhibition was showcasing the library’s important role in preserving history.
After enjoying lunch, we set out to explore the High Line, one of New York City's most unique parks, elevated about 30 feet above the bustling streets. As we strolled along the beautifully landscaped paths, it felt as though we were walking through a garden in the sky. The park was filled with vibrant greenery, blooming flowers, and a fascinating mix of art, including sculptures, installations, and colorful murals on nearby buildings. Along the way, I truly enjoyed different views of the city, and the experience on the High Line left me feeling refreshed and inspired.
